Professional undergraduate study Karst Agriculture – Plant production (level 6 according to HKO)
Professional title: bachelor’s degree (baccalareus/bacalaurea), agricultural engineer (bacc. ing. agr.)
Upon completion of the studies, the participants will be able to:
• assess the state and trends in the field of plant production and contemporary needs in the sustainable development of rural areas
• efficiently manage the agricultural economy, interpret the main biological, chemical, pedological, ecological, ameliorative and technological factors of plant cultivation,
• creatively use the technology of production of fruit, vegetable and other crops and lead modern technological processes within related agricultural branches
• manage the procurement of raw materials, machinery and equipment
• independently manage technological processes in the field of plant production
• select and recommend for cultivation crops and varieties/hybrids that correspond to specific agroecological conditions and evaluate the agronomic properties of new varieties and hybrids with the aim of making recommendations for production and business
• act responsibly towards the natural environment
• able to communicate in a foreign language and computer literate
• creatively use the acquired abilities of theoretical and practical learning in acquiring new knowledge and insights from plant sciences (continuation of education through formal and informal forms)
