PROCEDURE FOR INFORMATION MAINTENANCE OF AAI DIRECTORY
  • The information service, office 220, is responsible for the information maintenance of the AAI directory.

    AAI@EduHr user identities are issued exclusively to natural persons in the following way:


    Employees:

    • after employment, they should contact the Secretariat of the Polytechnic and request the opening of a user account by filling out the form
    • The user account is opened for a certain period of time, until 31.10. of the current academic year, and is extended as long as the employment relationship lasts, based on the report that the IT officer receives from the Secretariat of the Polytechnic
    • Upon termination of the employment relationship, the user account is terminated on the day of termination of the employment contract

    Students:

    • after the registration deadlines, the student service is obliged to submit to the IT service a list of students who have enrolled in the course
    • the information service opens user accounts for all students, and submits the information about them to the student service
    • the student service delivers information about the AAI@EduHr user identity to students
    • the user account can only be downloaded in person, with the presentation of an official document and a mandatory handwritten signature with the date of download
    • the student service is required until 31.10. of the current year, submit to the IT service a list of students who have enrolled in the new academic year
    • the IT service extends the existing user account to all students who exercise the right, and otherwise cancels it
    • at the end of the studies, the user account is terminated on the day of graduation
    • with early printing, the user account is terminated on the day of printing

    External collaborators:

    • after employment, they should contact the Secretariat of the Polytechnic and request the opening of a user account by filling out the form

    • persons who are guests at the institution (foreign exchange students, visiting teachers, members of the administrative council) can obtain an AAI identity with a certified request from the dean
    • to open a user account, it is necessary to have an OIB (for people from abroad, it is necessary to obtain an OIB first)
    • the user account is opened for the period for which it is predicted that the person will be a guest at the institution
    • at the end of the planned period, the user account is terminated

E-MAIL

When enrolling, all students receive a personal e-mail box in the form ime.prezime@veleknin.hr

The mailbox can be accessed using the webmail interface or a POP3/IMAP compatible client installed on a computer or mobile phone, tablet, etc.

When registering, it is necessary to enter the assigned username ( without the “@veleknin.hr” extension ) and the appropriate password.

When configuring, we recommend using the TLS (Transport Layer Security) protocol to protect the confidentiality and integrity of communication.

PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA CARRIED OUT BY THE HOME INSTITUTION IN THE AAI@EDUHR SYSTEM

Why do we collect and process your personal data?

Polytechnic “Marko Marulić” in Knin is the parent institution – provider of electronic identities in the AAI@EduHr system. Your personal data stored in our LDAP directory is used to enable you to use the services available through the AAI@EduHr ( https://www.aaiedu.hr ), eduGAIN ( https://edugain.org/ ) and eduroam ( https:/ /www.eduroam.org/ ) ensuring a reliable, secure and unified login for using these services.

What personal data do we collect and process?

Data that can be stored in our LDAP directory is listed at:

You can see all the data about you stored in the LDAP directory (after logging in with your username and password) through the directory maintenance interface at the address:

In addition to the above, we also collect data about the use of your electronic identity in such a way that we record the time and data about the device and system through which the request arrived.

Who do we share your personal information with?

In order to provide you with access to services, the necessary level of security and quality of services within the system, at the time of accessing a service in the AAI@EduHr system, we may forward some of your personal data to the service. How long do we keep your data?

We store data on the use of your electronic identity service for 24 months (so that we can ensure the level of security and quality of the service and meet legal obligations).
Upon losing the right to e-identity, we delete your personal data from the LDAP directory after a maximum of 90 days.

What are your rights?

Your rights, in accordance with the terms of the General Data Protection Regulation, are the right to access the personal data we collect, the right to deletion (forgetfulness), the right to limit processing, the right to data portability and the right to correct personal data if it is incorrect or has been changed. .

ACCESS TO EMAIL BOX

With the AAI@EduHr user account, you are assigned an official e-mail address.

You can access the mailbox using the webmail interface or using an e-mail client such as Microsoft Outlook, Mozilla Thunderbird, Apple Mail and similar.

You can access the webmail interface using Internet browsers such as Microsoft Internet Explorer, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Opera, regardless of platform and operating system.

Access using an e-mail client

When configuring the e-mail client, it is necessary to enter the following information:

  • username (without the suffix “@veleknin.hr”)
  • password
  • access type (POP3 or IMAP)
  • POP3 server: mail.veleknin.hr
  • IMAP server: mail.veleknin.hr
  • SMTP server: mail.veleknin.hr
  • POP3 port: 110 or 995 (SSL/TLS)
  • IMAP port: 143 or 993 (SSL/TLS)
  • SMTP port: 25 or 465 (SSL/TLS)

During configuration, it is highly recommended to configure the e-mail client to use the SSL/TLS encryption mechanism, so that your communication is protected.

INTERNET ACCESS

Wireless Internet access at the “Marko Marulić” Polytechnic location in Knin can only be achieved using the network called eduroam .

To use the eduroam network, it is necessary to have a suitable and valid AAI@EduHr user account, with which you confirm your identity when connecting to the network.

Program packages and instructions for automatic configuration of computers and mobile devices are available for installation at installer.eduroam.hr

All employees are required to report to the IT service, office 220, in order to have their official computers reconfigured exclusively, while they are required to take care of private computer equipment and mobile devices themselves.

Students are required to independently configure their own devices.

STUDOMAT

Studomat ( https://www.isvu.hr/studomat/ ) is a module of the Information System of Higher Education Institutions (ISVU) intended for students.

Using Studomat, students:

  • register/deregister exams,
  • they review the schedule for the written exam
  • results of written exams
  • find the schedule for the oral exam
  • they enter the year
  • choose elective subjects
  • enroll subjects at their own request
  • require the printing of various certificates
  • they have insight into financial obligations

With the help of Studomat, students can view all their data recorded in ISVU, such as:

  • Personal data
  • Data on enrolled years
  • Enrolled subjects
  • Passed exams
  • Financial obligations
  • The level of the right to student nutrition

Studomat can be used from an Internet kiosk or via the Internet using standard Internet browsers.

All the mentioned options, except for printing receipts, can be used via the Internet.

The student logs in to Studomat using the AAI@EduHr username and password.

In case of forgotten password, students can contact the student service.

AAI@EDUHR USER ACCOUNTS

When enrolling at the “Marko Marulić” Polytechnic in Knin, all students are assigned a unique AAI@EduHr electronic identity to use during their studies to access the computer resources of the academic network.

AAI@EduHr electronic identity allows users authorized access to computer resources within the academic network in the Republic of Croatia, and access to the Eduroam infrastructure in member countries.

With your AAI@EduHr user identity, you are able to use the entire range of services offered in the academic network of the Republic of Croatia:

  • You get your own e-mail address in the form: name.surname@veleknin.hr
  • Enabled access to the Internet through CARNet Internet services [ more information ]
  • Enabled access to the Internet via the wireless Eduroam infrastructure [ more information ]
  • You are allocated 500 MB of personal web and mail space on the Polytechnic server
  • The possibility of authorization when logging on to computers in the IT cabinet and public terminals
  • The possibility of authorization when accessing protected parts of the Polytechnic website (download of teaching materials and the like)
  • The possibility of authorization when signing up for e-learning and similar content
  • Possibility of authorization when applying for other services in the academic community (more at www.edu.hr )

AAI@EduHr electronic identity is valid from the day of opening until 31 October of the enrolled academic year, and after enrollment in the following academic year, it is extended, or otherwise deleted.
When downloading the AAI@EduHr electronic identity, all students are required to present the index, with a valid enrollment in the current academic year.

By downloading the AAI@EduHr identity, students confirm that they are familiar with the rules of use, which can be found here .

Any misuse or violation of the regulations will be sanctioned.

Students can only upload user account data in person at the student service.

In case of technical problems, please contact the LDAP directory administrator in room 220.

IT OFFICE

The IT office is located on the first floor of the Polytechnic, room 217.

The office has 12+1 networked personal computers, connected to the Internet via a 100-megabit Internet connection, and equipped with the Windows 10 operating system with the associated Microsoft Office 2016 software package.

The computers are also equipped with other necessary software that is released under a freeware license.

The use of the computer cabinet is not allowed to third parties, but only to students, employees and associates of the Polytechnic “Marko Marulić” in Knin.

All users of the computer infrastructure of the “Marko Marulić” Polytechnic in Knin are obliged to comply with the rules for using the network.

Free use of the cabinet is possible every working day from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., except when lectures are held in the cabinet.

We ask all users to check the class schedule before using the cabinet, so as not to disturb the groups that are currently using the cabinet.

Before using the computer, you need to log in using your own AAI@EduHr user account.

After you finish using it, be sure to log out.

EDUROAM WLAN INFRASTRUCTURE

eduroam ™ ( edu cation roaming ) is a roaming service conceived under the auspices of the European Association of Academic and Research Networks ( TERENA ) and realized through the international project GÉANT .

The eduroam service is a safe, simple and completely free Internet access service for the end user. It is intended for users from the science and education system.
It is currently available at numerous locations in Croatia and at more than 10,000 locations around the world .

All users who have a valid AAI@EduHr electronic identity, as well as guest users from abroad, whose home institutions are members of the Eduroam system, can connect to the SSID “eduroam” wireless network at the “Marko Marulić” Polytechnic location in Knin. You can find detailed information about Eduroam system members at www.eduroam.org

The device configuration procedure (laptop, computer, smartphone) is described at the link installer.eduroam.hr , where preconfigured software packages for the most commonly used operating systems and platforms can be downloaded. To log in to Installer, you need to log in with a valid AAI@EduHr user identity.
