Dear Sirs and Madams,

We are delighted to invite you to the 2^nd International and Scientific Conference "Social and Economic Development of Rural Areas in the Countries of Southeast Europe – Challenges and Development Opportunities 2021", which will be held in Knin on the 24^th September 2021. This year the Conference will yet again primarily focus on the development of rural areas. The specific objective of the Conference is to bring together scientists and experts whose work will contribute to the development both of science and the profession in the field of interest of the Conference, as well as to tackling the challenges that we are currently facing.

Thematic areas addressed at the Conference:

• Biotechnical and Technical Sciences and Rural Development
• Social and Humanistic Sciences and Rural Development

The working languages at the Conference will be Croatian and English. We are hereby kindly asking the participants to submit their abstracts of up to 250 words in English, using the form available at the official Conference website.

The registration fee per person includes participation at the Conference of one of the authors, confirmation of participation, work materials, a Collection of Papers, refreshment during breaks and catering. The registration fee needs to be paid to the following account of the Polytechnic IBAN HR7424070001100148180, Model 00, reference number: 2021, payment description: for the Conference – the name of the participant.

The registration fee per person:

• HRK400 per paper for the participants who pay the registration fee by the 1^st September 2021.
• HRK500 per paper for the participants who pay the registration fee after the 1^st September 2021 or at the Conference.
• students, staff and external associates are exempt from payment of the registration fee

The deadline for abstract submission:15^th May 2021

The notification of abstract acceptance: 1^st June 2021

The deadline for paper submission: 1^st July 2021
